Y2K

I'm sitting here, in the blog bunker waiting for the moment everything switches over. And like Y2k, I hope it all goes off without a hitch. But just in case it doesn't, I made a readiness kit:

1. A 12-pack of Coke. It might be something stronger if I wasn't at work.
2. My Frank Melton action figure with karate-chop motion.
3. A six-month supply of toilet paper.
4. My MEMA-emergency radio/TV.
5. A weapon (a sharp pencil)
6. A bottle of Haley Barbour campaign water (I got it at the Neshoba County Fair a couple of years ago)
7. Hand sanitizer.
8. A Calvin and Hobbes book (to read in case the internet goes out).
9. Five cases of SPAM (seems appropriate when dealing with a computer).
10. The rest of my pain pills from last week. Narcotics might be required.

I'm about to go flood the bathroom so we can have extra water. Just in case.

LOL!!!! LOL!!! Just caught this post as you put it up. I LOVE IT!!! lol!!!

Um, don't you think you need a case of Dr. Peppers for Andy the miracle worker?

I know you love all the friendly advice you get from people who second check your list. Oh and PRAY needed to be on it too. Pray and then drink.

heh! We have wine over here if you do need something stronger.

Question, does your melton action figure come with its own little sledgehammer?

HEHE. MR things will go smoothly. You have to have faith in the IT people. Just cause we look like we are lost or don't know what we are doing we really do know. It is just an act - job security.

I need something stronger than the bottle of water I'm sipping on. Its just been one of those weeks..

The new one isn't showing art (a slight problem for me) unless you click on the individual post. Andy, who is swamped and needs cheering up, will take a look at it when he can -- but I have to admit, I am kind of worried at the moment.

Now when you click on a post, it takes to something I didn't write. My head hurts.

Are we still getting a new blog at 2:00?

Things are getting interesting.

Deep breath. Deep breath.

Andy, Kimball and co. are so swamped that I don't want to be too pushy.

But then again, I want my blog to work at least half as well as it presently does.

Yep, good thing you brought the narcotics. Looking forward to seeing the new blog though - I'm not afraid of a challenge!

Right now, if I can't get the art to show up on the main page, it ain't much to look at.

A rose by any other name, would smell as sweet.

Pictures, who needs them?

Moo!

Don't drink that Haley campaign water! He probably had it bottled from the remains of Hurricane Katrina as part of the relief effort.

well, I go to the same page on my blog as yours (old CL page), too...

Of course my blog isn't nearly as important as yours working properly. LOL!!!!!!

I did keep one can of Budweiser Water that I got when I worked on the Coast. It was during the winter, when it wasn't hot, so I didn't feel like I was taking a precious necessity from a survivor's parched tongue.

Its after 2:00. Are we a no go?
