It's probably just me, but I find it very interesting that after 39 years and after winning another election last year, our senator decided to retire - and just 2 days before his brother-in-law was arrested on bribery charges. But it's probably just my suspicious nature. I'm sure there is no connection.
I see the picture on the wall is back-and the laughing snakes are hilarious~!
Ironic (which you are the king of) that you would do a cartoon with Lott the same day you post about Singing River. Maybe Scruggs should start singing and walking....
Funny funny cartoon!!! You did good AGAIN marhall.
I don't think he will have to worry about packing up the controversial comment's boxes, I think they will follow him around like Mary's little lambs. hee hee
Excuse me, I see it's a snake, but when I looked this morning, I saw that thing to the right of the snake that looked like the top of a skull and I thought it was appropriate that skeletons have a way or turning up at the worst times. Hey, at least I love your cartoons!
When I saw Sunday's cartoon here in the blog, I had not yet finished reading my Sunday CL. When I saw the cartoon published in the newspaper, it was obvious that it was a snake, just like the one in the lower box. My old eagle eyes just need to see things on a bigger scale sometimes to get it right. Heh!
Marshall Ramsey, 39, is the editorial cartoonist for The Clarion-Ledger. He is a two-time Pulitzer finalist and is nationally syndicated by Copley News Service. His cartoons have appeared in USA Today, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and on his Mother's refrigerator. It is also rumored that his work has appeared frequently in the bathrooms of several prominent local politicians.

Sorry, your name is MarShall, isn't it. fingers aren't working today.
And that sure does look like a skeleton to me, peeking out of the top box, waiving his arm.
That's a snake, not an arm.

I wasn't being snippy, just trying to clear that up for you. It is a skull, though.
