When my children were little, I would take numerous pictures of them in front of the fireplace, hoping to get one that was card-worthy. Now that they are all grown, no, I haven't sent Christmas cards in a while.
I have about 8 boxes of cards I have bought..some are addressed-from 10 years ago. I have never succeeded in getting them out. I have given up-and on that note, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARSHALL AND SUPERMOM! ~:>
Several years ago we went to Mr. H's sister's in Arizona for Christmas. That was also the year I read "Skipping Christmas." I decided to skip cards that year. Let me tell you, once you don't send them, it's very hard to get back into that tradition. I'm thinking of buying 5 or 6 and sending them to just my family.
Yep, and they're always a hit. The first year we lived here, hubby was sitting on the riding lawnmower wearing a Santa hat and I was wearing reindeer antlers and a red nose and "pulling" it with a rope. Har har har.
Me, too, Marshall, heh. Some years I buy them and people complain. I just ask them when the last time it was they made christmas cards, and I was just taking the year off.
Guess I need to get the paper marked this week so I can paint them next weekend. Drat. I usually like to have them sent out by now. Oh well. Fire me!
We did when we were first married, but got out of the habit after a few years. You know, when your life gets too boring/sad for an annual letter ("moved again, hate my job, didn't take any fun trips, don't have a house yet, still no kids . . . "). But now that we have little one(s), it is kind of hard not to send them! I love getting pictures of all our friend's kids - we put them up on a bulletin board in the kitchen so we can think about them all year! :)
MR -- I WISH we could keep our list to 100 - but we've moved too much -- we have friends in too many places, so our list just keeps getting longer . . . last year we sent 157. I've joked that if we move again we have to move back to somewhere we've already lived so our list doesn't get any longer!
Marshall Ramsey, 39, is the editorial cartoonist for The Clarion-Ledger. He is a two-time Pulitzer finalist and is nationally syndicated by Copley News Service. His cartoons have appeared in USA Today, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and on his Mother's refrigerator. It is also rumored that his work has appeared frequently in the bathrooms of several prominent local politicians.

Ha! no
Sure, via email
I do. Usually, I paint them, but I am about 2 months behind in that so I am not sure if it will happen or not. ACK!

I draw ours. Whenever I drop someone (we try to keep it at 100), we usually get howls. We also include a real picture of the boys.
Most definitely. That's the one time of year that we reach out and touch everyone. Some folks have been sending and receiving for almost 40 years.
Well, after mistaking the snake for a skeleton's arm, I guess if I had ever made the list, I would be dropped by now. LOL!
