I got the blog done. I got ready, got the boys ready, emptied the dishwasher -- heck, I even got the trash out. What I didn't do was get my card that gets me in the building.
It sure is cold outside today.

Don't you hate that? You think you're on such a roll and then realize the one thing you didn't do - I hate that!
I realized at around the turnoff for UMC. @#$@#
Kinda like yesterday when I got to work at 8 and realized I had a 7:30 meeting...
And like last night when my husband went back to the showroom and found that the front door had been left unlocked when he left for the day....
I keep my ID with my wallet; if I get one, I get the other.
oops. Either you have some pretty good wireless internet access, or some pretty good co-workers.
That is my husband's worst fear - that he'll commute all the way downtown, then realize that his ID/key card is at home. At least he doesn't have to have it to come and go to the bathroom any more -- at his old office, when he forgot it, he'd have to get someone else to let him back in the suite after he went to the bathroom! :|
(this, of course, after completing the act of congress that it takes to get into the building without your ID in the first place!).
When I worked downtown, we had parking cards. Luckily, we got a case to put it in that clipped to the thing that pulls down to block the sun - oh, sun visor, or I know I would have been unable to get out of the parking garage without paying on more than one occasion.
