A Maroon Christmas

The leaves may turn orange in the fall, but the people are turning maroon.

Sid Salter has a Mississippi State Christmas tree on his desk. Andy is wearing maroon. I swear I can hear cowbells if I listen. A breeze is floating in from Starkville -- Sylvester Croom is breathing a massive sigh of relief. The bandwagon is full, people are coming out from their caves -- there is a morning after.

Congrats State Fans. You've suffered long and hard. I am pulling for a great bowl for you.

Anyone can say what they want, but Mississippi State has the best fans. No other team has such loyal fans. Bowl game or not, State fans are the best. And season's like this are what it is all about. I am so glad I am a bulldog!

A slightly biased point-of-view -- but in light of last weekend, I'll allow it. :)

I'm just sad this season didn't happen while I was a student!

Thank you, MR. And I'm glad I never got off the bandwagon in the first place. It was a lonely ride for a while, but it makes it doubly sweet for the fans who never left when the weather wasn't quite so fair.

No MSU fan deserves this more than Coach Croom. There has been so much trash talked about him in the last few years, and I am THRILLED that his work is starting to pay off. He's a good man, who wants his players to be good men, too. All the naysayers, and the morons who have called for his firing, should be begging his forgiveness. Gentleman that he is, he's probably give it to them, too!

HAIL STATE!!!

I'm just glad to hear that Andy's alive. He didn't show up at church yesterday. I was afraid he stayed up all night playing Guitar Hero.

My office is across the street from the stadium. You can still feel the energy around campus and town. I'm so proud of our dogs. I'm with grammergirl, its been a long ride. I was a student during the late 90's and it felt like we had gone back in time. Go Dawgs!
