When was the last time a notable drug bust occured in Jackson? Has there even been one on Frank's watch?
Oh he's run the Frankmobile around town supposedly on their trails, and talked about it, even partially destroyed a "crack house" finding no "crack", but when was there an actual bust of organized drug peddlers?
I think she did exactly what Frank hired her to do -- nothing. To stay out of his way. To show no backbone what-so-ever. When she did (objecting to his promotion of his bodyguards), he moved her out of his way.
So it's how you want to look at it -- was she a good chief by normal standards? Did she do what she was paid for? Up until the very end.
MR you know when someone leaves a position "the buzzards hover", so maybe Frank will get her guns! I am looking foward to the next drawing of Frank with his "six shooters" again!
Thank you for your cooperation in this serious matter or (mess).
I heard Marshand on TV this morning saying that Shirlene wasn't gone until the council voted on it, so as far as he was concerned she was still chief. I gotta wonder who's sitting in that office today. Oh wait, it's Frank. Mass confusion continues to reign.
(Regina - Local Cliff's Notes for you, Marshand Crisler is one of the city councilmen, but not the really loud mouthed one.)
He's afraid Frank will fire him, regardless of the fact he's an elected official. I'm surprised he hasn't exploded from the pressure of keeping his mouth shut.
Doesn't matter if I or anyone else agrees with his decision. He's going to do what he wants to do, to the detriment of all. Sad, really sad. I feel bad for the police officers who are trying to do their job in the midst of the chaos created by his constant meddling.

His cartoons have appeared in USA Today, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and on his Mother's refrigerator. It is also rumored that his work has appeared frequently in the bathrooms of several prominent local politicians.

Where do I even begin....

Old bopper, the house was cracked when he got through with it.
Heh! Sorry. I couldn't resist that one.
I am sure I will hear at least once today, "At least Frank is doing something."
If I had a dime for every time I heard that, I could pay off Jackson's budget crisis.
Bill Cosby once said (paraphrased) Some people accomplish great things and some people just grate on your nerves.
Sounds like that's how you feel about your mayor.
In the world of Frank, yes.
In the real world, maybe. I don't think she was doing an excellent job. Just an okay job. Maybe Frank can find someone better. Maybe not.

I am kind of afraid to give Frank his guns back. I know where his one Barney Fife bullet would be headed...
I think the whole thing is laughable.
Oh, and Susan, we haven't heard much of anything from the really loud mouthed one since Frank took office. I think Frank has something on him.
The silence has been deafening.

Thanks for the cliff notes Susan, soon I will learn all of your council members.
Is this a trick question? I wonder who the next chief will be... Frank's wife?
Regina - for your sake and ours, I hope not!
Stacey - it won't matter. The person in power doesn't change, just the name on the door.

I got an e-mail from a cop yesterday. He said it was the worst it had been since he had been there -- and he'd been there a long, long time.
Ugh, I hate that for him. Can mayors be recalled?
Basic city services: police, fire, sewer, water.
Big stink re: head of the fire department (Frank wanted one guy, council didn't).
Big stink about the police dept: ditto.
Cow stockpiling water, getting a porta-potty for the back yard. Those services are next.
Guess a gun and fire extinguisher too....do it yourself city services.
Moo!
Frank is doing more for Harvey Johnson's image than anything Harvey could have ever done.
no. well, she has been ineffective, so i don't disagree with her being replaced. but i completely disagree with our out of control crazy mayor.
