Emeril Live! has been cancelled. It will cease production on Dec. 11. The Food Network will continue producing Emeril's "The Essence of Emeril," and he'll
"take part in "specials and other development opportunities in the future," Welch said," but the daily show will go away after ten years.

Well, considering all the other people that have lost their jobs this week, I guess this shouldn't surprise us so much.
(although I think he'll still be around on the Food Network, just not on that show, right?).
What's next -- Oprah gets canceled? Steve Jobs steps down to "pursue other interests" or "spend more time with his family"?
I was aggravated when they moved Emeril Live from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., to interfere with the news, but this is just unacceptable.
I have to say that he was getting really cheesy (and I don't mean his ingredients.) It will be the end of an era though.
How many 1000's of shows could you do without coming off as cheesy or queesy?
