Your choice

I can blog lots and lots today, but you will get syndicated cartoons for the next four days. Or I can draw like my butt's on fire so I can get out of the office by 1:30 to go get chopped on and leave you some cartoons. It's up to you -- I am aiming toward cartoons. If you disagree, let me know.

I will be spending a couple of days recovering from the latest addition to my collection of scars.

I watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with L last night. M had more "grown up" parties to attend. In my collection of albums, I have a soundtrack of the show, which includes most, if not all, of the dialog. Best of all, the album cover opens up and there is the whole book. I mention this to move to my next point: Mr. H ordered my Christmas present this morning--a turntable with digital outputs so all our albums will now be accessible here in the 21st century.

I vote for cartoons also, What does "chopped on" mean, is that a dental reference?

Teeth are fine. It's nothing major -- but I will need a little recovery time. I will probably draw from the house -- but plan on napping some, too.

kitchen counters come in on Friday, so I doubt that will be a very relaxing experience.

And yes, Bloggerman, y'all can stop by. I will be back in the loop then.

And one more thing (and then I will get back to work) -- Charlie Brown Christmas is not only one of hte best TV shows ever, it has the best soundtrack. It and Grinch are true examples of when pure genius hits the screen.

I too will probably be getting chopped on this week. Sympathy to you. I'm not looking forward to it.

Marshall Ramsey said...

I'm not scared of the pain. I am just getting tired of it.

Good luck with your chopping experience.

Again, I sympathize. I've been in the doctor's office WAY too much since the summer. I'm ready to stay well for a while.

I'll pray for you if you pray for me?

Spiritual quid pro quo.

It works for me.

Cow votes, of course, for cartoons.

Cow agrees that Vince Guaraldi's soundtracks of jazz piano make the Charlie Brown episodes as great as they are.

Cow wishes Mr. R a speedy recovery, and hopes the new kitchen cabinets won't have to be used as part of his rehabilitation.

Moo!

Bunny doesn't want anybody to get chopped!

Draw like the wind, MR! Looks like you found his office the first time, B man! We have photographic proof.

And, MR and Mayberry, you will be in our prayers this week during and after the "chopping."

Bloggerman, just make sure you and your friend stand outside in the exact same location and wave at Marshall Monday so he can take your picture again.

mrs. h.....that is so cool! What a great husband you must have! I was researching one of those turntables but when Katrina came along, I lost my 500+ collection of albums. Several of them could probably never be replaced including one from the Jerry Lewis movie, Cinderfella, and a bunch of 78s too. I don't have the heart to start over again so have been working on cd's but now I wonder - will they be gone like my 8-tracks one day???

Forcedtoretirelegaleagle said...

Yes, gigi, they will be gone too. They are already talking about it. And you know as soon as something comes down in price to be affordable, they are coming out with something else. And I have always heard that as soon as a computer comes out, it is already obselete.
