Smiles

I met a person at Mistletoe that had a huge smile and a glow about her. I didn't know her from Adam, but just her smile made me glad that I had met her. It's funny how powerful a smile and a good disposition can be.

I really don't have it -- at least not consistently. I try. It's a goal. But I have days when my dark, inner grumpy side comes out.

Not that this really matters for much, I guess -- I will continue to wake up and go to sleep one way or the other. But I have to believe life is much better if you see the glass half full. If you smile and enjoy the bright side of things. If your smiles come from deep within you.

My baby is very much like that lady. He is very quick to smile. He has an infectious grin. He is laid-back and takes the challenges a baby faces in stride. And everyone that meets him, loves him. And he honestly seems to love them back.

I want to be more like my six-month old. Well, other than the crapping in my pants part. Other than that, he seems like he has it going on.

If crapping in your pants is cool, then call me Miles Davis

My mom always told us to smile because you never know when it'll make someones day better.

My nephew wrote a piece about smiling that is one of the best papers I have read. It was a contest on hou you could change the world.

He's a special kid.

I have to add to dhcoop's statement - you never know when smiling might make YOUR day better. I smile at and am nice to nearly everyone because I know that will net me something cool. So I'm a little selfish. Whatever.

Also, your kid is pretty cute, crappy 'draws notwithstanding.

My favorite saying is "That day is lost in which one has not laughed." You can't laugh unless you smile and it's easier to smile than to frown. Life is good. Smile.
