Tuesday Free-For-All

Some many people were quitting or getting canned yesterday, I was almost afraid to raise my head.

What is going on?

Mornin!

I have a question myself this morning. The vote on the city council was 3-3 about payroll. I didn't think Chrisler (as President) could vote unless it was a tie-breaker. Was it because Stokes didn't show for the meeting?

Coop, all council members have a vote, that's why there is an uneven number elected on councils. The president usually serves as the moderator.

Houston Nutt's about to get named coach at Ole Miss, and my brother-in-law is about to go run out in traffic.

Make sure you record it and put it on YouTube.

Councilman Stokes only comes to the Tuesday meetings (when the cameras are rolling). He doesn't think he is paid to come to the Monday work sessions...

Well, it's official. Houston Nutt from Arkansas has been named the new head football coach at Ole Miss. They came to a decision abouty midnight last night and just announced that it's official.

I have compared Ole Miss's and MSU's football schedules for next year; Ole Miss should win even if they had hired a high school coach! MSU is going to need to step it up a notch, but I think they have it in them to do so.

Go DAWGS!

I posted pics on my blog of my groovy cool silver christmas tree. :) I am sooo excited about it! heh. Fake was the perfect answer to "real or artificial?"

Coach Bower had been at USM for 29 years. Wow! It just goes to show that no matter how long you have worked somewhere and how much loyalty you have shown, it matters not! It reminds me of someone sneaking up on a turkey while hiding an ax behind their back. Big business has lost all decency when it comes to employees and their lack of rights.

IDIOT SIGHTING: When my husband and I arrived at an automobile
Dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went To the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the drivers side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "Its open!"
His reply, "I know - I already got that side."
This was at the Ford dealership in Canton , Mississippi !

I tuned in to Jay Leno last night and it was a re-run from June 29, 1992, and Tom Hanks was the guest. In the monologue, Jay said Family Circle Magazine was going to publish Hillary Clinton's recipe for chocolate chip cookies and Barbara Bush's recipe and let readers try the recipes and vote on the best one. Jay said wouldn't it be funny if Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton were running for President and George and Bill were making cookies! He must have had a Carnack the Magnificient moment!

And speaking of canning, the Food Network has cancelled Emeril Lagasse's show, "Emeril Live" after 10 years on the air. The last show will be December 11th, but they will keep showing re-runs. He is still under contract, so Essence of Emeril will stay on the air.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is on. It's my favorite.

Ok. I know it's really too late to post anything to get noticed tonight, but I'm going to do it anyway, then probably again tomorrow.

A dear friend of mine rescued a precious cat 3 weeks ago from the Clinton Kroger parking lot. He tried for 2 weeks to get his 9 year old ornery male tabby to make friends, but he has turned into devil cat and is MOST unhappy with daddy. My friend tried to take Kroger Cat (her name now) to CARA, but they couldn't take her and they gave him a voucher to get her fixed. She's at the vet tonight and going to be picked up tomorrow. She's a 6-8 months old, bob-tailed, now fixed, calico with a precious personality. He would love to keep her, but, like I said, his mature male is just entirely too unhappy with the idea. And, I, having just lost Merle last week, feel it's too soon to try to introduce anyone new to my household, SOOO, if you or anyone you know is looking to adopt a beautiful kitty, PLEASE let me know.

Thanks.
