Time to take a three-second break

How many of you are finished with your Christmas shopping?

Nope, not even close. But I have started. . .does that count?

We only have about four more gifts to buy and we're done. In fact, they're all wrapped, too. If I don't wrap them immediately upon returning home, they will be lost.

But I plan to do some at Chimneyville this weekend!!

I'm thiiiiiiis close. I think after today I'll be down to one person, and I know what I'm buying, it's just not available yet. Of course, today my dad started with the "get your mom something from me," so it starts all over again.

After Mistletoe, Mrs. R showed me a box and said, "This is what you are getting me for Christmas."

I think a better question might be "Is there anyone out there who hasn't started yet?" That would be my hand waving.

I am! Aside from the few homemade things I am doing this year, I am done!

Got two more gifts and stocking stuffers left! This is the earliest I've ever been done! I'm so proud!

Ha. Yeah right. I am sooo last minute when it comes to Christmas shopping. I ordered a gift for my mom online yesterday. So far, that is the only thing I have bought.

That question makes me smile... When I was younger I asked my older brother if he was going to get me anything for Christmas... he would always say... Baby.. I am going to get you the same thing I got you last year... NOTHING.. and he would burst into laughter... and then say, I hope you like it...
BOYS!!!!! One of the perils of being the baby of 6.

Almost finished just a couple of more things to get not counting the stocking stuffers. Will be working on getting the ones already bought wrapped tonight.

My question of the day is, "How can you finish something you never started?"

Hahahahahahahahahahaha! What I buy for Christmas depends on what i get for my birthday Dec. 8. Hee Hee. Not really.

Oh wait, I have done some shopping. My ironing board is loaded with stuff in the hall. And I"m making my little nieces and great niece aprons. I'm going to do that while I'm on vacation tomorrow and the next day.

We have a BIG family and we all buy each other something for Christmas. I love that tradition. We don't spend a lot of money, sometimes only $1.

Haven't even started. Ain't it sad!!

I was half way through when my adult daughters came up with the brilliant idea that we should only buy for the children this year. Since my children are 42, 39 and 24, I wasn't sure which children they meant, the wee ones or them too, so I e-mailed them to find out. They found that pretty hilarious and replied that anyone old enough to vote no longer qualified as "children." Since all my presents thus far were for the unqualified, I am back to square one and am giving them their Christmas presents for birthdays to come in '08!

wow, gigi,
I didn't realize your youngest was 24. I think he was in 7th grade when Mr. H taught him in Sunday School.

When all of us had kids, Mr. H's sister and my brother decided not to buy for each other, but just the kids. When all of our kids are grown, can we drop the nieces and nephews and go back to buying for each other? now, I can't wait for that.!

mrs. h. ~!~ Now that I think of it, he's 25. Those birthdays just keep on going by! And he is married and has a beautiful 1 year old named Peter and a wonderful, Christian wife.

AND - I work for him in his cabinet business where I am given lots of time to be on the internet!

I'm a little late on this one. I had some cooking to do this afternoon (my friend's are home from the NICU with their baby, so I took them dinner!) :)
I really want to be able to say, "yes" to this one, but I'm not anywhere near close. I have a sister and in-laws that are impossible to shop for, and every year it seems like I'm working on their gifts later and later in December. (sigh).

I've been finished with my son's presents - just need to get his stocking stuffers, and find a few more books for his birthday. :)

You're kidding, right?! :) Actually when I think about it, I've gotten quite a bit done. I have several things to make. And LOTS of goodies to bake--for friends.
