Well, ain't that sumthin?

As soon as the NY Governor changed his stance and came out AGAINST giving illegal immigrants driver's licenses, Hillary firmed up her stance saying that she was against it too.

Before that, she couldn't make up her mind.

doesn't she worry about whiplash, turning like that?

Good Thursday morning everyone.

We are headed down the last stretch straight into Turkey day next week aren't we?

We have so much to be thankful for. Crisp fall air, the laughter of our children, scarlet and gold leaves, hot black coffee and Pilgrims. If it wren't for their tenacity and God's hand we wouldn't be here today.

Today, we have 3 blood drives.

I must have been smoking crack...3 drives in 1 day? ACK

You'll feel drained by the end of the day.

regina Butler said...

Clucky's out for blood! Not hers, mind you, but everyone elses. You will feel like your blood has been let when it's done, huh.

Supermom, I hope you are feeling better. Anything we can do to cheer you up? Love you.

Marshall, did you EVEN sleep last night? You must be half cat ,jsut take cat naps at night. BTW how is sam? We haven't seen a lovely pic of him lately.

regina Butler said...

How long do your speeches last marshall? I want to go to the one you are giving in Tupelo tomorrow morning at 8:15 and I may be pushing it because of an early morning photo shoot.

I don't want to slide in just in time for everyone to be clapping and saying godbye.

I want some of what Regina is drinking. Dang, she's a little 'high-strung' this morning!

*yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn*

Good morning, all.

It looked like it was snowing this morning on my trip in from Rayberry. Those doggone stink bushes, or salt scrub, or scrub bushes or whatever the heck they are, are blooming and sending around little white puff balls everywhere!

HopieUM said...

i agree clucky... thats a alot of thinking this early

Marshall Ramsey said...

I really have no idea how long my speech will be tomorrow. I have to get past my speech today before I even think about it. I know it starts at 8:15. That's about it so far.

(I really am not that ill-prepared -- it is just second nature to me now).

regina Butler said...

Clucky, it's called Thank God I have a free hour before the day kicks me in the seat of the pants.

and marshall, I've been doing some thinking (I know that's dangerous according to my brothers) and I've figured out how to finagle slide in just in time I think.

regina Butler said...

BTW clucky. Foldger's coffee (or soldiers coffee) as the little guys say.

You know the joke, granny finds a toy soldier in the bottom of her coffee and asks grandson why it's there and he says

"The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup."

MR, how come your little picture icon doesn't show up? Everyone else's does, but I haven't been able to see yours in a few days.

dhcoop said...

Hey, MR, my big sis leaves for Dubai this evening and she has promised me that once she gets set up with internet access she will join the MRBA. You will officially have a blogger on the other side of the world!

Katherine said...

Wait - there are actually leaves changing down there? I remember our first year there the leaves didn't start turning until the 2nd week of December -- I though I had moved to the twilight zone!

Dhcoop -- Those crazy bushes are one thing I definitely don't miss - they were EVERYWHERE and I was SOOOOO allergic to them. I threatened to cut down the ones outside our apartment. :)

dhcoop said...

Katherine, we are actually getting some pretty good color this year.

And yes, I think the pollen counters overlook the scrub bushes. All they mention is the low ragweed count.

Stacey said...

By the way, is that the first time you've given acknowledgment to the term "MRBA?"

Unknown said...

I think you are right Stacey.

dhcoop said...

Ok. I know all of you think I'm nuts for having such a good time with the secret word, so I can't hurt my reputation any further by sharing this...

Look out into a parking lot or driveway and watch the leaves. Some of them are running in circles, others are chasing each other, some of the larger ones are just rolling slowly along. As I was watching this, it seemed as though I was seeing a bunch of children on a playground, playing tag, chase or just generally being kids having a good time. You can almost hear the laughter on the wind...

ok, yeah, I know, I'm nuts.

regina Butler said...

Coop you are not nuts. Of course that is coming from the person Clucky dubbed as 'high strung'. You are just taking time to listen to life. That certainly helps to take stress away.

In my woods at home it is a varible snow storm of yellow, red, gold and brown. Soon the drifts will be piled high against the front steps. I will leave them there for a week or two so I can hear them pleasantly crunch beneath my feet.

Thanks for reminding me to stop, look and listen to the little things in life.

busy day. busy week. looking forward to 4 days of nothing and quiet next week.

watercolordaisy said...

don't we have a MRBA in the war zone right now?

dhcoop said...

watercolor, now that you mention it, it does seem we had someone posting from Iraq not long ago but I don't remember their handle.

clstigger said...

Crazy week! Things seem to be going downhill each day. Found out this morning my father is in the hospital in AL. Having some health issues of my own. Could use some extra prayers.

dhcoop said...

You got it, clstigger! Prayers and hugs your way.

CluckyRN said...

Midnoon was his name. He is in support services-not in combat.

And like regina said, coop-you aren't crazy. You just take time to notice the little things.

If you look on flickr.com/flinky23, you will find a series of pictures where I followed a cloud from Magee to Philadelphia and took pics of it while going down the road. That's nuts.

Breaking news on CNN:
Home run king Barry Bonds indicted
Barry Bonds was indicted Thursday on perjury and obstruction of justice charges, the culmination of a four-year federal investigation into whether he lied under oath to a grand jury looking into steroid use by elite athletes

dhcoop said...

Clucky, you've got some great shots there! And the cloud shots aren't nuts, they are beautiful!

Love the kitties, too!

dhcoop said...

Wait, just re-read your post - YOU took pictures while DRIVING down the road - ok, that was nuts.

regina Butler said...

There was another guy called armylife4me that posted a couple or three days ago. Lets see, it was Monday, when we celebrated Veteran's Day. He is in Iraq also.

regina Butler said...

tigger, prayers to you and your dad. keep us posted

Oh and I just took the most awesome picture of a little girl with her turkey for our newspaper next week.

She is 23 months old and she has a tom turkey that is as tall as she. CUTE cute cute picture.

Will put it where you can all see it next wednesday after it publishes. If I post it before it publishes, my name is mud.

dhcoop said...

Welcome, micah!

We can never have too many members.

And I stand corrected on the "other side of the world thing". Let's just say that he'll have one more on the other side of the world!

regina Butler said...

Welcome to the MRBA family Micah. I have a little brother named Micah, so you will be easy to spot.
