Countertops are in

All we lack now is the tile backsplash. That's next on the agenda. But the counters looks great (I will post a picture as soon as I can find my photo cable).

I did a masterful job directing from the couch. Now, thankfully, my neighbor is going to reconnect my plumbing.

I have the best neighbors ever.

Maye you have great neighbors, because you are a great neighbor.

That too, and now that you have a countertop so food can be prepared and inside plumbing so you can run from the couch to the bathroom, sounds like you are set for the weekend!

My dogs bark too much and I haven't rakes my leaves. My yard is a mess and I need to cut my bushes -- no I am not a great neighbor in that respect. I am fortunate to live around interesting and nice people. Everyone is pretty different but I like them all.

And as kitchen re-do's go this one was very painless.

Can't wait to see pictures. :) Our condo (or townhouse, or small place to live but hey, the rent is affordable) has a tiny kitchen with white counters that stain every time you look at them. So, I like to live vicariously through other people's kitchens. :)

And you are not superman marshall. Take chores one thing at a time. It will be fine. There are much more important things in life than leaves and bushes.

And your dogs are your alarm system. Nobody dares try to break in do they? ha ha.

You don't have to have an immaculate lawn to be a great neighbor. Usually a neighbor that cares for his fellow neighbors and spends some time getting to know them is a great neighbor. I have had neighbors with IMMACULATE lawns, but those lawns were policed and uncomfortable. Kind of like a house that is too clean. Then all the spare time is spent on maintenance and the homeowner hardly knows the people around him...

Boy, would I win the award for house that's not too clean! My husband said again today that he should have left my computer unhooked a little while longer. I was actually getting rid of some junk while it was down.

Hire a neighborhood teenage boy for the weekend to tackle the yard. He'll have spending money for girls and you'll have a load off your mind.

I paid a neighborhood boy $5.00 to cut my little ole yard even after Mr. Eagle and I got together and Mr. Eagle had his own lawn care business. It helped the teenager and Mr. Eagle didn't have to have a busman's holiday.
